Getting screened for cancer can feel overwhelming, even scary, especially when you're unsure of where to start. What do I do next? How to go about it? Maybe some of the questions you may be asking yourself. That's good. Knowing where to go and what to do next is crucial after you've decided to act. At ENO, we will walk with you, one step at a time and try to help you understand your options, your resources, where they are and finding the right support.
Understanding the Process
Navigating cancer screening doesn’t always have to be complicated. ENO will help you understand:
- Which screenings you need based on your age, family history, or personal risk factors
- When and where to get screened, whether at a clinic, hospital, or mobile unit
- How to prepare for each type of screening, so you feel confident and informed
Community Navigators
Our trained volunteers and Community Health Navigators are here to walk with you. Our navigators try their best each day to help bridge that gap by ensuring no one is left behind. Whether you're taking your first step or your next one, we offer:
- Personalized support to help you understand your options
- Scheduling assistance for screening appointments
- Help with insurance questions or connecting to free/low-cost programs
- Language translation, support and culturally sensitive care navigation
Partnerships that Help
ENO believes that we cannot do this by ourselves. To ensure everyone is given the opportunity to navigate their life to better healthcare and wellness, we try to collaborate with:
- Local clinics and hospitals
- Mobile screening units
- Community health centers
- Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)
These partnerships help bring affordable, accessible, high-quality screening services directly to the communities that need them most. From urban neighborhoods to rural areas, we meet people where they are.
